Ilzer's Hoffenheim blow victory against 10-man Palace despite Prass goal
The German side concede the crucial equalizer late in stoppage time.
TSG Hoffenheim could only manage a 1-1 draw away at Crystal Palace on matchday four of the UEFA Europa League.
Christian Ilzer's side started on the front foot. In the seventh minute, Prass got to the ball ahead of the Palace keeper and coolly slotted home to put the Sinsheim side ahead.
Baumann makes brilliant save
The game opened up after that, with both Palace and Hoffenheim creating good chances before the break.
Hoffenheim took greater control in the second half. Palace still had a huge chance through Yeremy Pino in the 67th minute, but Oliver Baumann produced a brilliant save to deny the Spanish World Cup winner.
Equalizer with ten men
Good ten minutes later, Prass was substituted. Right after, things took a bitter turn for Palace when Adam Wharton received a second yellow card after flinging an arm (77').
However, the English side refused to give up. In stoppage time, Daichi Kamada struck to snatch a draw (90'+1).
Hoffenheim now sit 10th in the table with four points. Next up in the Europa League, the German side host SK Sturm Graz. Palace, meanwhile, are 18th with five points.
