Austria achieves minor respectable result in Conference League exit

This season, the league phase of the UEFA Conference League will take place without Austrian participation.

Following SK Rapid, Wiener Austria also failed in the playoffs. After their 0-2 defeat in the first leg, the Violets achieved at least a small respectable result with a 0-0 draw against SC Braga in the return leg.

Nevertheless, FAK still has to wait for its first participation in a European group or league phase since the 2022/23 season.

Eggestein poses some danger, but too little

With their backs against the wall, Austria tried to score with creative solutions. Eggestein had the best chance for a 1-0 lead, but goalkeeper Bernardo could only parry his shot. Hettwer missed the rebound (22').

Stephan Helm's team did more in the game, without posing significant danger. At the same time, Braga offered little going forward.
