For Stuttgart: Austrian international Spalt makes CL debut against Gala

The 19-year-old Yanik Spalt from Vorarlberg makes his UEFA Champions League debut for VfB Stuttgart.

Stuttgart are visiting Galatasaray in Istanbul on Tuesday. After Gala attacking player Aleksey Batrakov made it 2-0, Stuttgart's Atakan Karazor had to leave the field due to injury (18'). Spalt comes on for the midfield veteran.

Bundesliga debut in September

The Austrian made his German Bundesliga debut against Köln in September. Another appearance against Hoffenheim followed. Most recently, at the end of October, the youngster played 90 minutes in the 3. Liga for Stuttgart's second team.

The Austrian youth international has been playing for VfB since 2023. At that time, he moved from AKA Vorarlberg to Stuttgart.
