Foda's protégé declares himself fit for Sturm Graz match
Fenerbahce can reportedly count on the experienced striker. This does not make the task for Sturm Graz any easier.
A far from easy task awaits SK Sturm Graz in the 3rd qualifying round for the UEFA Champions League.
On Wednesday, they travel to Istanbul to face Fenerbahce (from 8:00 PM in the LIVE ticker >>>).
Muriqi is fit
The Turkish squad includes several big names. Former Real star Marco Asensio is on board, as is goalkeeper Ederson (formerly Manchester City).
A prolific scorer has now declared himself fit. According to "Sabah", Vedat Muriqi is available for the matches against Sturm Graz. The 32-year-old moved from Mallorca to Turkey in the summer. An incredible 23 goals in 37 games, however, did not prevent Mallorca's relegation from LaLiga last season.
Record goalscorer in Foda's team
He already wore the club's jersey in 2019/20 and could now celebrate his comeback against Sturm. He had recently been sidelined with a calf muscle tear.
With 32 goals in 68 games, he is Kosovo's record goalscorer, where he is coached by former Sturm championship-winning coach Franco Foda. In the playoff final against Turkey (0-1), the country narrowly missed out on World Cup participation.
