Shortly before kickoff of the duel between BW Linz and Wacker Innsbruck in the ADMIRAL 2. Liga, the new platinum sponsor for Linz will be announced.
It was revealed via advertising boards that voestalpine will become the new partner of the Blue-Whites. This news generated great enthusiasm in the stands of the Hofmann-Personal Stadion.
The partnership focuses on promoting young talents and strengthening women's football in Upper Austria.

Many fans of the Steel City view BW Linz as the emotional successor to SK VÖEST. However, voestalpine withdrew from sports sponsorship in the early 1990s.
