Altach laments missed chances
The Vorarlbergers particularly regretted the opportunities missed before half-time.
"I'm very annoyed," said Patrick Greil about his big chance. "That's why I wanted to shoot it high, but then unfortunately I shot it too high."
Coach Ognjen Zaric was also convinced that much more would have been possible. His team "should have been leading by two goals." A 2-0 or even 3-0 at half-time would have been a realistic result for him.
Despite the defeat, Zaric took a lot of positives from the performance: "I think it was a good performance, especially in the first half."
Jäger: "We lacked a bit in the second half"
Captain Lukas Jäger primarily identified a loss of energy after the break.
"We have to convert our chances," said the central defender, looking back at the first half. After that, "something was missing" to find creative solutions. Altach had become "a bit sluggish" and had lost their initial intensity.
Patrick Greil also spoke of dwindling energy. "It felt like we lacked the energy to implement our game." He couldn't say exactly whether the nine-hour bus ride to Graz also played a role.
Ultimately, frustration prevailed among the Vorarlbergers. Greil summed it up: "I'm simply disappointed that we didn't win the game."
