LASK 20 Weeks Without Defeat - "The Streak Continues!"
The Linz team celebrates an excellent start to the new season. But they are not entirely satisfied.

7:0 in the Cup against Kalsdorf, 3:0 in the league opener against GAK, 2:0 against Wiener Austria.
LASK simply picks up in the new season right where they left off in the old one.
The Streak
"I want the streak to continue like this," grins Lukas Jungwirth.
In fact, the double winners from last season haven't lost a competitive match since March 22, when SK Rapid defeated the Linz side 4:2. That was 141 days ago.
"We Can Do Better"
However, the 'Athletiker' (LASK players/club) were not entirely satisfied with their performance in Vienna-Favoriten. The 2:0 scoreline ultimately appears clearer on paper than it was on the pitch.
"We can do better, we know that," says coach Didi Kühbauer.
The coach explains: "We started very well, then we didn't invest as much. After the break, it was a good game again, but with the 2:0 lead, we wanted to manage the game and made it easy for Austria."
A Bit Too Casual
The coach, from Burgenland, is particularly annoyed by the weak phase at the end.
"We didn't make the runs you always have to make anymore. I think we simply felt we were the better team. If you then take a step back, that's not good. We need to stay on the attack there," he says.
Positive Aspects
But apart from that, there were, of course, also some very positive things. LASK was very solid defensively and quite dangerous offensively.
"We had two not-so-good phases, but with the ball, it was extremely good; we played Austria off the park," says Jungwirth.
His conclusion: "We've started the new season very well; that's how it should continue."
