LASK wins 4-0 against Austria Lustenau in Vorarlberg after a difficult few weeks.

After the setbacks of recent weeks, the pressure on the Upper Austrians was palpable.

Didi Kühbauer was visibly relieved at the "Sky" microphone after the final whistle: "We didn't want to let this run of results continue, and the boys did really well. There's a lot of scrutiny on us after last year, and we handled that well today."

At the same time, the LASK coach put the brakes on when it came to exaggerated expectations: "It's not like LASK travels everywhere and wins. Nevertheless, I'm satisfied with the team – they're all just human beings."

Offensive Trio Impresses in Front of Goal

Particularly pleasing for Kühbauer was the performance of his offense, with all three attackers getting on the scoresheet: "For a striker, it's incredibly important to score, because they all have their own specific mindset. The fact that all three scored today is very good."

Florian Flecker also looked back at the action on the pitch with satisfaction. "It feels good that we delivered a good performance once again today. Four goals and no conceded goal – very good," summarized the right wing-back.

Flecker put the comparisons of recent weeks into realistic perspective: "The recent defeats weren't bad. Sturm, Rapid, and Liverpool are simply top opponents. Against Hartberg, we should have won."

Sasa Kalajdzic

Kalajdzic simply summed up the mood of the Linz team after the liberating victory: "I couldn't care less about the table right now."

In the current phase, LASK "naturally cannot drop many points because the point division system is no longer in place," explained the ÖFB striker.

Kalajdzic also emphasized: "The league is so chaotic. For me, no team is such that they will simply march through it. Not us either. That's why everyone has to go to their limit."

Golf vs. Ferrari: Mader Sees Class Difference

The host team from Vorarlberg was able to assess the result realistically after the game. Lustenau coach Markus Mader found clear words for his team's performance and the opponent's strength after the clear defeat.

A "defending too far out" and an "unnecessary misplaced pass in the attacking third" had led to the 1-0 and 2-0, after which the visitors had cold-bloodedly taken over the game with their class: "They do it sensationally with the power and pace of the striker (Note: Adeniran). We tried and made an effort, but the opponent was simply vastly superior. You simply see the difference between the two teams."

Mader immediately followed up with a vivid comparison: "It's like on the motorway: you're driving a Golf and a Ferrari is next to you, and those in the Ferrari just wave goodbye and accelerate."

It was praise that the Linz side gladly received: "I see it as a compliment when the opposing coach talks about us like that," Flecker chuckled.

Self-Criticism and Remorse from Lustenau Captain

Lustenau captain Matthias Maak was self-critical but didn't panic: "We defended well for a long time, but we concede goals too cheaply and make it too easy for LASK. We certainly could have put up better resistance. But we have to learn from this and move on."

Maak showed remorse afterwards for an emotional outburst after his substitution, when he kicked over a crate of drinks: "I have to apologize for that. You don't do that – especially not at my age. I need to be able to control my emotions."

While LASK gains a lot of confidence for upcoming challenges with their emphatic victory, the promoted team from Lustenau must draw lessons from the duel with the "Ferrari."
