Salzburg lets two dropped players train again
Seven players were dropped before the training camp. Two of them are now allowed to train normally with the pros again.
As reported by the "Salzburger Nachrichten", new coach Danny Röhl suggested a transfer to no fewer than seven players before FC Red Bull Salzburg's training camp in Pongau.
Maurits Kjaergaard, Aleksa Terzić, Lucas Gourna-Douath, Mamady Diambou, Hendry Blank, Zeteny Jano and Valentin Sulzbacher were all not allowed to participate. None of the seven has found a new club so far, and they recently trained in "Training Group 2".
According to the local paper, two of the players have been reintegrated into the first team since Wednesday.
Kjaergaard and Blank back
Hendry Blank (21) – most recently on loan to Hannover 96 – returns. Recently, two players in his position (centre-back), Tim Drexler and John Mellberg, were injured.
Maurits Kjaergaard (23) is also back on board. The Dane can be used flexibly in midfield and was long considered a great talent. In recent seasons, however, he has proven to be very injury-prone.
New signing Haris Tabakovic also started training on Thursday, however, the striker is not yet an option for Saturday's cup match against Oberwart (from 6:00 p.m. in the LIVE ticker >>>).
