Confirmed! GAK signs midfielder with Bundesliga experience

GAK is once again strengthening its squad for this season with significant Bundesliga experience.

As the Graz club officially announced, Christopher Cvetko (29) has signed with the club for one year.

The central midfielder brings a wealth of experience with 137 appearances in the ADMIRAL Bundesliga. Furthermore, the former Austria Klagenfurt player also helps with the Austrian player quota.

Already familiar with the coach

Cvetko, who was most recently under contract with Blau-Weiß Linz, previously played under current GAK head coach Gerald Scheiblehner at FC Juniors OÖ. That season, the club from Pasching finished ninth in the 2. Liga.

The new signing had already been training with the Graz team for several days. The fact that the signing came to fruition is likely also due to Scheiblehner.

"The coach's trust means a lot to me. I know exactly what is expected of me, and I look forward to putting myself at the team's service at GAK," Cvetko is quoted in the announcement.

The head coach emphasizes the Carinthian's experience, and also states that he perfectly fits GAK's playing style: "With his energy, with his robustness, he will make an important contribution to achieving our goals."
