SK Rapid: This club is reportedly interested in Amane
Romeo Amane continues to be considered a potential departure candidate for the Hütteldorfers.
What does the future hold for Romeo Amane?
For weeks, even months, a sale of the Ivorian has been mooted. In June, Copenhagen (all info >>>) reportedly put out feelers. While a departure hasn't gone completely quiet in recent days, concrete buyers had not emerged until now.
That has now changed, as reported by the "Kurier". In addition to clubs from France and the English Championship, clubs from Belgium are also said to have signaled interest in Amane.
Both Defensive Midfielders Sold
The Austrian daily newspaper specifically names FC Brugge as a "hot and financially strong candidate".
The reason: This summer, Brugge sold Aleksandar Stankovic (23 million Euros to Inter) and Raphael Onyedika (9 million Euros to Frankfurt), their regular double pivot from last season. Only Freddie Potts has arrived as a clear replacement for the two departures so far.
Amane is believed to still have a contract in Vienna-Hütteldorf until summer 2029, provided it has not been extended since his signing in January 2025.
