Hartberg hat-trick hero and a debut scorer sink Lustenau
Lustenau still turn the game around before halftime, but Hartberg truly step up in the second half. Hoffmann scores a hat-trick, Feldhofer nets his first Bundesliga goal.
In the eighth round of the ADMIRAL Bundesliga, TSV Hartberg win 4-3 against Austria Lustenau.
In a highly entertaining clash between two free-flowing teams, Hartberg strike first. In the eighth minute, the East Styrians execute a textbook counter-attack: Markus sends Gattermayer down the right wing, in the middle Hoffmann breaks free from his markers and slots the cross into the net (8').
The lead doesn't last long, though, as Lustenau hit back less than three minutes later. Soares threads the ball through to Gashi in the box, and TSV goalkeeper Pecsi sees the ball slip through his legs for the 1-1 equalizer (11').
Subsequently, Hartberg have more of the play, but Lustenau still manage to take the lead just before halftime.
Hartberg defender Konstantin Schopp can still block Afrifa's shot, but in doing so, he serves the ball to Weixelbraun. The latter is once again in the right place and smashes the inherited ball into the net for 2-1 (43'). Lustenau have turned the game around against the run of play.
Goal Fest with Headliner Hoffmann
Hartberg manage to equalize ten minutes after the break. Schierl cannot hold onto a sharp shot from Youba Diarra, and Hoffmann hammers the rebound into the net for 2-2 (55').
The deserved lead doesn't take long to arrive either. In the 61st minute, Schierl comes out of his goal to clear before Hoffmann, but under pressure, he pushes the ball to Feldhofer. Although almost 40 meters from goal, Feldhofer thoughtfully lobs the ball into the empty net. 3-2, Hartberg have turned the game around once again.
In the final phase, Hoffmann even completes his hat-trick. Hartberg counter through substitute Radulovic, Hoffmann is unmarked in the middle and can quite easily score to make it 4-2 (86').
In added time, Weixelbraun still makes it 3-4 with his brace (90+3'), but this no longer changes anything regarding the three points for Hartberg.
Hartberg are in fifth place in the table with eleven points, while Lustenau remain on eight points and are ninth.
