Tabakovic Hat-trick Decides Top Match
Salzburg wins the clash of contenders against LASK. Haris Tabakovic is the match-winner, scoring three times.
On the 10th matchday of the ADMIRAL Bundesliga, LASK and Red Bull Salzburg drew 1-1.
LASK started the match better. After a high ball win, LASK quickly switched play and entered the final third via Horvath. He then set up Adeniran, and the striker shot from approximately 14 meters, slotting the ball into the far corner to make it 1-0 (13').
Subsequently, Salzburg sought a response, and they found one. Lindström won the ball and then sprinted at full speed. Tabakovic made a good run, was perfectly assisted, and slotted the ball past the onrushing Jungwirth to equalize at 1-1 (25').
Intense Duel in the First Half
The game went back and forth rapidly, with both teams eager to reach the opponent's goal as quickly as possible.
LASK had the greatest chance to take the lead. After a square pass from Adeniran, Usor would have been completely free at the far post. Schmid made a good tackle to clear the danger just ahead of the LASK striker (42').
Tabakovic Completes Hat-trick
Salzburg emerged better after the break. Kitano set up Tabakovic, who hit the ball with his first touch from the edge of the penalty area into the top left corner, making it 2-1 (49').
Subsequently, the Linz players appeared somewhat shocked. Lindström showcased his class with a strong solo run, leaving five or six Linz defenders in his wake. However, he was then thwarted by Jungwirth (60').
In the 74th minute, it was again the Bosnian striker who scored for Salzburg. Kitano dribbled into the penalty area but was denied by Jungwirth. His save fell directly to Tabakovic's feet, who only had to tap it in for 3-1.
With that, the Salzburg player is now level with Lang in the top scorer list with seven goals. Salzburg remains in touch with Rapid, trailing by three points, while LASK is already eight points behind Hütteldorfer.
