Narrow win for Salzburg!
Red Bull Salzburg celebrates a 1-0 home win over TSV Hartberg on the first matchday of the ADMIRAL Bundesliga.
From the outset, Salzburg exerted high pressure on Hartberg's defense. Diakité (4th/8th) in particular created early chances. However, Hartberg also delivered counter-punches with quick counter-attacks from Hoffmann (9th) and Postl (16th).
Nevertheless, Salzburg mostly dominated play and had many set-pieces. However, the team of German new coach Danny Röhl still lacked the necessary ruthlessness before halftime.
Vertessen misses top chance for the lead
Just seconds after the restart, Vertessen then missed the best chance so far. However, the Belgian shot the ball over Hartberg's goal from close range (47th).
Subsequently, Salzburg also presented themselves as extremely ball-oriented, continuously forcing the Schopp-eleven into defense. However, Salzburg were not precise enough.
Konate lets Salzburg celebrate late

Karim Konate headed the "Bulls" to a 1-0 home win after a Schmid cross from the left side (89th).
