Finishing third in last season's ADMIRAL Bundesliga, the Salzburg club recorded their worst league result in the Red Bull era. Not only was a new coach, Danny Röhl, appointed, but the squad was also extensively restructured.
Hartberg must compensate for several departures, including Hülsmann, Havel, and Heil. The return of Markus Schopp as coach and technical director is intended to provide the necessary stability for the East Styrians.
In their competitive season opener against SC Imst, they secured a hard-fought 3-1 away victory.
