"I'm happy for him," says Eggestein, "he has very interesting elements in his game – a low center of gravity, a very good left foot."
Eggestein's Responsibility
Eggestein also sees himself responsible for ensuring that such success stories do not remain rarities for Austria's many young talents, but become everyday occurrences.
"It's my second year, I want to take responsibility as a leader. That also means guiding the young players, integrating them. I think that's working quite well," says the striker.
Praise for the Youngsters
Captain Manfred Fischer adds: "The young players are doing very well. We support them, but they have to make their own way. If they continue like this, we will have a lot of joy with them."
Coach Helm emphasizes: "We are going down this path with young players, which is extremely important for Austria. Everyone must be aware of their responsibility and perform every day."
