Incredible! Wacker turns 0:2 deficit into Round of 16 progression

FC Wacker Innsbruck is in the Round of 16 of the UNIQA ÖFB Cup after an incredible comeback!

In the clash between two top teams of the ADMIRAL 2. Liga, the Tyroleans deservedly won 3:2 against FC Blau-Weiß Linz, despite trailing 0:2 for a long time.

Blau-Weiß Seemed to Have Everything Under Control

Blau-Weiß got off to a dream start: Dario Kreier had a bit too much space on the right side of the penalty area and curled the ball beautifully into the far corner for the 1:0 (6').

Just fifteen minutes later, Ronivaldo set up attacking partner Romeo Vucic, and the ex-FAK attacker powerfully hammered the ball into the top near corner - 2:0 (20').

Just a short while later, Luis Gstrein was perfectly positioned after a Galle cross and indeed headed in to make it 2:2 (78'). But that wasn't all.

A corner from Rami Tekir found its way directly into the net, and suddenly Wacker was in the lead (84'). The completely shocked Linz players could not recover, and the Innsbruck team sensationally advanced to the Round of 16.
