Former Sturm player trains with Austria Salzburg
The Salzburg club currently has a prominent training guest in their ranks. The defender has been without a club since this summer.
Second-division side Austria Salzburg currently has a prominent training guest in its ranks.
As "SN" reports, Sandro Ingolitsch has been training with the second-division club since Monday. The 29-year-old, who has already played 173 Bundesliga matches for Sturm Graz and Altach in his career, is looking for a new club.
"Since I don't have a new club yet, it's important for me to train with a team. For this reason, I asked Roli Kirchler, whom I know from our time together in Altach," said the right-back.
"My Goal: To Play Abroad"
After eight years in Austria's top flight, Ingolitsch wants to make the move abroad. A transfer to Scottish top-tier club Aberdeen was recently imminent but fell through at the last second. Remaining with the Salzburg club is not an option.
"Of course, I could have stayed in Altach, but the desire to go abroad was stronger. Unfortunately, a new deal hasn't worked out yet. But I'm not getting nervous and I'm confident that something will still come," says Ingolitsch.
