FC Liefering emerged victorious on the ninth matchday of the ADMIRAL LigaZwa, beating Sturm Graz II 3-1.

After two recent defeats, the "Jungbullen" (Young Bulls) got off to a lightning start. Already after a few seconds, Adejenughure showcased impressive technical skill to get past his opponents in the penalty area. The ball was deflected impossibly for the keeper, and Liefering celebrated for the first time (1').

Sturm Grows Stronger

After a good start by the hosts, however, Graz took command. First, Lang narrowly missed the goal by a few centimeters after a cross from Grgic (17'), then Hupfauf was able to clear for a corner against Maierhofer (28').

Graz continued to press. Again, a corner led to a dangerous situation. The Salzburg goalkeeper was already beaten, but his teammate cleared Grgic's shot off the line.

Salzburg Extends Lead - Sturm Responds

A similar situation unfolded in the 31st minute, Lang tried his luck but failed against Aleksic. After some good actions by the visitors, Salzburg then increased their lead to 2-0 almost out of nowhere (39').

After a low cross, Traore got to the ball and converted. The opponents' response was not long in coming. Gutmann scored an unstoppable shot into the top left corner (42'). This sent the teams into the break with a 2-1 score in an entertaining match.

Liefering Remains Efficient

After the restart, Adejenughure once again displayed his technical prowess. He dribbled past several opponents and shot, but the Styrians managed to get a leg in the way, causing his shot to narrowly miss the goal (47').

At the other end, Lang aimed for the far post, but his shot went just wide (60'). Stamina was now waning. Liefering saw a comeback, with U17 hero Johannes Moser returning to play for the "Jungbullen" after a long injury break.

Leles Seals the Deal

A few minutes later, substitute Leles drove solo towards the visitors' goal. He was given far too much space and increased the lead to 3-1 with his second goal of the season (67').

In the final minutes, the "Jungbullen" were careful not to concede anything further. They succeeded. The Salzburg team celebrated a 3-1 home victory.

In the standings, Liefering moved up to seventh place after the win, while Sturm is 13th.
