Christian Klien brings the Interwetten Curve at the Red Bull Ring to life
Interwetten presents a top-class short film centered around the iconic Turn 3 at the Red Bull Ring. The lead role is played by none other than former Formula 1 driver and Interwetten expert Christian Klien.
When motorsport enthusiasm meets cinematic aesthetics, sponsorship becomes a true sporting experience.
Four and a half minutes of pure horsepower! With its new short film about Turn 3, Interwetten once again impressively demonstrates that sponsorship for the online sports betting pioneer goes far beyond mere trackside advertising.
Where motorsport fans from Austria and around the world usually hold their breath during every lap and every overtaking or braking maneuver, a true 16:9 immersive experience is created here. The focus is on the interplay of man and machine, driver and racing car, facing the ultimate challenge on the Styrian high-speed circuit.
For the shoot, Interwetten expert Christian Klien slipped into his racing overalls and got behind the wheel of a powerful sports car prototype from Austrian manufacturer Pedrazza Racing Cars, aiming to make the physical and mental hurdles of the Interwetten Curve tangible for the motorsport community. Klien knows from his own experience all too well that the third turn is considered a critical point, demanding uncompromising precision.
Hundredths of a second decide
"You drive from Turn 1 to Turn 3 at full throttle, but because it goes uphill, from the cockpit perspective, it feels like you're driving into a wall. Also, because you're braking down from 300 km/h to 70 km/h. Anyone who turns in even a hundredth of a second too early or brakes too hard here loses valuable time," explains the native of Vorarlberg, who has been working as an Interwetten expert since this season. He is also delighted that the legendary Turn 3 is now designated as the Interwetten Curve: "This perfectly underscores the brand's deep connection to motorsport."
With the naming rights, Interwetten is consistently expanding its already strong commitment to national and international motorsport. "In our more than 35-year company history, motorsport has always been a central pillar. Focus, speed, and strategic skill are what count here – qualities that are in demand both on the track and in sports betting.
Making the fascination of Spielberg tangible
With the Interwetten Curve, we are also making a visible statement on one of the world's most popular race tracks. The fact that we were also able to realize this cinematic project with Christian Klien as an expert makes this milestone all the more valuable," Interwetten states, delighted with the Spielberg blockbuster.
Whether MotoGP, Rallye, or Sports Car Challenge: with the new short film and its prominent trackside presence, Interwetten invites all motorsport fans to experience the fascination of Spielberg even more intensely and builds anticipation for future activations and upcoming highlights in the racing calendar.
