Eleven Top-100 Players! Linz Entices with Table Tennis Action
The Feeder Tournament in the Upper Austrian provincial capital offers a wide lineup of top players and numerous domestic athletes.
This week, a special treat awaits the domestic table tennis fans.
For the first time in a while, an international competition, the Feeder Tournament in Linz, will once again take place in Austria.
Numerous Domestic Athletes
Representing Austria, Andreas Levenko will lead the charge. Also competing in the men's event are Maciej Kolodziejczyk, Zhenlong Liu, Julian Rzihauschek, and Petr Hodina. Kolodziejczyk and Liu will also compete in the doubles event.
In the women's event, four Austrians will compete: Karoline Mischek-Colucci, Nina Skerbinz, Elina Fuchs, and Sophia Pichler. In doubles, Pichler and Vanessa Tang, as well as Skerbinz and Mischek-Colucci, will compete.
Domestic pairings can also be found in the mixed doubles: Liu plays with Skerbinz, and Kolodziejczyk forms a team with Mischek-Colucci.
Seven Top-100 Players
The player with the highest world ranking in the men's event is Hungarian Csaba Andras (56.). With Ankur Bhattacharjee (IND/79.), Yuta Tanaka (JPN/85.), and Ivor Ban (CRO/99.), there are four Top-100 players in the competition.
Among the women, there are even seven: Natalia Bajor (POL/50.), Xiaona Shan (GER/67.), Misuzu Takeya (JPN/74.), Sarah de Nutte (LUX/81.), Tin-Tin Ho (ENG/82.), Lea Rakovac (CRO/91.), and Katarzyna Wegrzyn (POL/92.).

The event kicks off on Wednesday (September 23) at 9 AM. It finally culminates in the final matches on Sunday (September 27). These will also be available from 4:30 PM on the LIVE stream on LAOLA1.
