MotoGP: Acosta wins Practice in Spielberg
The Spaniard wins practice - a brief scare for his compatriot Alex Marquez.
Pedro Acosta (KTM) also wins the second practice session in MotoGP at Spielberg.
The 22-year-old finished 0.127 seconds ahead of Fermin Aldeguer (BK8) and 0.187 seconds ahead of Ai Ogura (Superfile).
Championship leader Marc Marquez finished fourth, just under two tenths of a second behind.
Red Flag for Marquez
Shortly before the end of practice, there was another scare involving Alex Marquez. The Ducati rider crashed after turn 1.
Due to too many parts on the track, practice was briefly interrupted but could be concluded as scheduled. The 30-year-old was unharmed in the crash.
Tomorrow, Saturday, the MotoGP Sprint is on the schedule. On Sunday, the riders will face the race at the Red Bull Ring.
