Russell dominates third Monza practice again
George Russell sets the fastest time in the third practice session as well. Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen follow the Mercedes driver.
George Russell (Mercedes) remains the benchmark at the Italian Grand Prix.
The Briton clocks the fastest lap in the third practice session at Monza with a time of 1:22.219 minutes, putting himself at the top, just as he did in the second session.
Ferrari driver Lewis Hamilton is 0.226 seconds behind, while Red Bull star Max Verstappen (+0.350) takes a strong third place. World Championship leader and Russell's teammate Kimi Antonelli (+0.361) has to settle for fourth.
The fastest McLaren, driven by Lando Norris (+0.406), follows. Charles Leclerc, who had set the fastest time in the first practice, finishes in sixth place, 0.489 seconds behind.
Qualifying takes place on Saturday at 4:00 PM (in the LIVE ticker), and the Grand Prix on Sunday at 3:00 PM.
