McLaren is back at the top!

Just a few weeks ago, the path to race victories seemed quite distant for the British racing team.

A more than bumpy start with several setbacks for the previous season's world champion team characterized the season opener in Australia and China.

However, several updates showed their effect and secured Lando Norris's first season victory as reigning world champion before the summer break. He has now confirmed his form with a second victory in Zandvoort.

Will Norris now challenge Mercedes in the title fight?

Norris thus moved up to fourth in the world championship standings, significantly closing the gap to world championship leader Kimi Antonelli within two races. Nevertheless, he views the situation very soberly.

"I'm happy with how we're progressing. But there's no point in thinking so far ahead," Norris clarified after his GP victory in the Netherlands.

Nevertheless, the outlook no longer seems hopeless, even for the now 13-time GP winner. "It's still a big deficit, but there are still some races to come. I'll stay cool and keep working," added the 26-year-old.

Whether McLaren will consolidate this positive trend in the future will be seen in just two weeks at the legendary classic in Monza.
