Formula 1 today: Singapore Grand Prix Qualifying
Every millimeter counts here: Who will snatch the crucial pole position at Singapore's street circuit? LIVE updates:
In Singapore, Formula 1 drivers battle for the best starting positions for Sunday's race (2:00 PM).
On Saturday (from 3:00 PM in the LIVE ticker <<<), qualifying for the Singapore Grand Prix takes place.
In Friday's Sprint Qualifying, Max Verstappen once again demonstrated his class and secured first place. The Red Bull driver is also among the favorites for the main qualifying session.
Mercedes driver George Russell, who proved to be a Singapore specialist last year, also warrants attention: he secured pole position as the foundation for his race victory.
However, even the fastest time in qualifying won't help him here. Due to a new engine, the first pursuer of championship leader Kimi Antonelli will have to start from the very back on race Sunday.
