03:30: Colombia - Ghana (LIVE Ticker >>>)
In this match, the first-placed team of Group K and the third-placed team of Group L will meet
The Colombians prevailed, thanks to victories over Uzbekistan (3:1) and DR Congo (1:0), surpassing the Portuguese, against whom they drew 0-0
Ghana had a dream start to the World Cup with victories over Panama (1:0) and a draw against England (0:0), but had to concede defeat to Croatia on the final matchday (1:2)
19:00: Canada - Morocco (LIVE Ticker >>>)
Canada is in a World Cup Round of 16 for the first time and wants to use its "home advantage" in Houston.
The North Americans secured their ticket with a last-minute victory against South Africa, while Morocco dramatically prevailed against the Netherlands in a penalty shootout.
Both teams are among the surprises of the knockout phase. Canada is fighting for its first-ever spot in the quarter-finals, while Morocco even reached the semi-finals at the last World Cup in 2022. The winner will meet the winner of the Paraguay vs. France match in the quarter-finals.
23:00: Paraguay - France (LIVE Ticker >>>)
Paraguay caused one of the biggest surprises of the tournament with their sensational victory over Germany in a penalty shootout.
France has presented itself in dazzling form so far and gave Sweden no chance in the Round of 32, winning 3-0.
With Kylian Mbappé at the helm, "Les Bleus" are among the top favorites for the World Cup title, and Paraguay hopes for the next sensation after their Germany coup.
The winner advances to the quarter-finals and will face Canada or Morocco there.
Schedule, July 5 (CEST):
22:00: Brazil - Norway (LIVE Ticker >>>)
The record world champion has not been entirely convincing at this World Cup so far, struggling to a late 2-1 victory over Japan in the Round of 32. In the group stage, they had two victories against Scotland and Haiti, as well as a draw against Morocco.
Norway survived the "Group of Death" with France, Senegal, and Iraq, finishing second, and in their first World Cup knockout match in 28 years, Ivory Coast was eliminated 2-1.
The winning goal scorer was (of course) superstar Erling Haaland, who already has five goals in his first World Cup appearance. Only Kylian Mbappé and Lionel Messi (both 6 goals) have scored more often.
The "Selecao" has been able to particularly rely on Vinicius Junior so far. The Real Madrid star attacker has four goals and one assist, thus being involved in more than half of Brazil's goals (9).
