In Round 9 of the ADMIRAL Women's Bundesliga, LASK suffered a 0-1 home defeat to SpG Südburgenland/TSV Hartberg.

In the first half, the LASK players had slightly more of the game than the visitors from Southern Burgenland. The visitors' goalkeeper was tested repeatedly with shots, but LASK found no way past Dora Schvirján.

Goal and Red Card

The second half initially presented a similar picture to the first 45 minutes, before Valentina Forobosko overcame the LASK goalkeeper with a long-range shot (49').

Just a few minutes later, Verena Cebic lost her temper. After a small skirmish over a throw-in, the player from the joint team lashed out and was sent off with a straight red card (55').

Despite being a player down, the visitors managed to hold onto their lead and secure the win.

Blau-Weiß defeated by Altach

The second Linz club also suffered a defeat. The Linz women were beaten 6-1 away at Altach.

The hosts took the lead in the 12th minute through Petra Mikulica and extended their advantage 10 minutes later courtesy of Julia Kofler (22'). The Steel City women then pulled one back through Lea-Sophie Nimmrichter to make it 1-2 (34').

After the half-time break, however, the Vorarlberg women put on a dominant display. Julia Kofler (53') and a quick brace from Vera Ellgaß (64' and 65') decided the game prematurely.

In the 74th minute, Vera Ellgaß completed her hat-trick, making it 6-1.

Red Lantern moves to Linz

Thanks to their victory over LASK, SpG Südburgenland/TSV Hartberg can pass the last place in the standings to the blue-white Linz women. LASK women are in 6th place with eight points, while SCR Altach women were able to extend their points tally by three.
