Following the superstar's departure from the team camp, there is now renewed stir. The 41-year-old will not be on the field against Denmark, but his shirt number has already been reallocated.

According to the UEFA squad list, the number seven will be worn by Rafael Leao. He wore shirt number 17 in the last match against Norway.

However, a UEFA rule is also the reason for this. It states that the 23 nominated players must wear numbers one to 23 on their backs. Therefore, there was likely no other option.
