Former ÖFB national team coach Franco Foda is currently attracting attention with Kosovo.

In the qualification for the 2026 World Cup, the German narrowly missed out in the playoff against Turkey.

Things are also going well in the UEFA Nations League. With five points from four games, they are second in Group B behind Austria. In the home game against the ÖFB team (1:1), they conceded a seemingly certain victory in the closing stages.

Did the Albanians Lure Foda?

The successful work of the former Sturm coach is generating interest. Bajram Shala from the Kosovar association reveals in the "Telesport" podcast: "Coach Franco Foda had many offers, some even big ones, but he decided on us. He will only leave us for a very attractive offer and a corresponding transfer fee."

Shala even reports about a neighboring country that reportedly showed interest in the 60-year-old. "Even the Albanians said to him: 'Come to Tirana and see our beautiful stadium.' They indirectly wanted to lure him, but he decided in favor of the football that Kosovo plays."
