Bayern has "very good relationship" with Austrian club
Bayern's head of youth development praises the good relationship with TSV Hartberg.
FC Bayern Munich is extremely well-connected in club football. With the "Red&Gold Network," there is also an official partnership with several clubs.
Bayern often uses its relationships for loan deals involving young players, and the ADMIRAL Bundesliga is also of interest for this.
"The Austrian league is very interesting; it consistently has many young, interesting players. The level is good for developing young players with potential and quality. We have had good experiences," said Sporting Director Christoph Freund in March 2025 to "90minuten".
Praise for Hartberg
The Bavarians cultivate a special relationship with one club in particular. Head of youth development Jochen Sauer told "SPOX": "There are some clubs with whom we maintain a very good relationship with the people involved, even though they are not officially part of the network. For example, TSV Hartberg in Austria or FC Arouca in Portugal. We have sent players to both clubs who have developed very well there."
Bayern has repeatedly loaned players to Oststeiermark. Currently, Magnus Dalpiaz (19) is on loan to TSV.
Additionally, in the summer, Simon Freund – son of Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund – signed his first professional contract in Hartberg.
In the future, another Austrian club, Wacker Innsbruck, could work more closely with Bayern. Wacker's partner club LAFC is part of Bayern's club network. The Tyroleans want to reach the ADMIRAL Bundesliga in the long term.
