Tobias Gulliksen became SK Rapid's record signing in the summer of 2025. The Viennese club reportedly transferred 3.8 million Euros to Djurgarden for him.

However, the Norwegian was never really able to establish himself in Hütteldorf, so the current loan move came as little surprise.

Gulliksen had to do his research

Turkish first division club Kocaelispor made their move, and also have a purchase option.

The 23-year-old now tells Turkish media: "When I first received an offer from Kocaelispor, I had to do my research. I knew the club from video games. I looked at the stadium, the fans, and the team. I thought this was the right decision for me and an important step in my career. I believe I will have a great experience here."

The Norwegian is looking forward to a league with "absolute top players". He describes himself as follows: "I am a player who likes to create chances and get into scoring positions through ball receptions. I believe I can show these qualities on the pitch."

He says he is versatile, but prefers playing in the number eight or number ten position.
