England national team goalkeeper Jordan Pickford must answer in court due to a reckless drive.

As reported by the English "Sun", the incident occurred on April 14th at approximately 3 PM in Knutsford. The 32-year-old reportedly disregarded right-of-way rules when turning onto Toft Road, forcing two vehicles to brake sharply to avoid a collision.

"The Lamborghini then sped along Toft Road in Knutsford. I activated my hazard lights, blue lights, and siren and tried to catch up to the vehicle," a police officer, who was coincidentally present as a witness, is quoted as saying.

The officer reportedly pursued Pickford's Lamborghini Urus at 80 km/h, though only just under 50 km/h was permitted.

According to the officer, the 32-year-old only stopped when he noticed the blue lights and siren.

Pickford Wants to Present "Mitigating Circumstances" in Court

Cheshire Police filed charges against Pickford on September 23rd under the Single Justice Procedure, which allows a single magistrate to deal with minor traffic offenses in writing and without public attendance.

Pickford has already announced his intention to appear in court himself, "to present my mitigating circumstances," said the England national team goalkeeper.
