Christian Zawieschitzky
90 Minutes
The young keeper put in a good performance. When called upon, he distinguished himself and couldn't do much about either of the two goals conceded. There was a brief injury scare, but he was able to play through.
Leandro Morgalla
90 Minutes
Was directly involved in the 1-0 with a strong ball win, generally good interplay with Redzic. Afterwards, he faded slightly, especially defensively. Towards the middle of the second half, he found his way back into the game better. For the 2-2 equalizer, he and Boma played the opposition onside, allowing the Slovenians to score.
Kevin Boma
90 Minutes
The Togolese player once again delivered a very confident performance. Both in defensive behaviour and passing, Boma was Salzburg's best defender. However, he and Morgalla played the opposition onside for the late equalizer.
Tim Drexler
90 Minutes
This was not the German's game. Drexler seemed very nervous and frantic from the start, repeatedly causing serious errors. He made several unnecessary mistakes, especially when playing out from the back. Moreover, he was decisively involved in both goals conceded.
Dominik Schmid
90 Minutes
In the first half, Schmid still put in a decent performance, making an important ball recovery midway through. In the second half, however, he had significant problems with Dukuly. Celje repeatedly posed a threat down his side in the final phase.
Abubakr Barry
90 Minutes
The Gambian player had a very inconsistent game. One moment with a very good ball recovery, another with a major misplaced pass. In the second half, he found a bit more consistency. Barry repeatedly tried shots from distance, but only once did he get somewhat dangerously close to goal.
Umut Tohmucu
Until the 45th Minute
In his first European Cup appearance this season, the German initially seemed a bit uncertain. As the game progressed, he worked his way into the match better and better. He also repeatedly drifted to the right, where he had a bit more space and calm for his game. Nevertheless, his game was over after 45 minutes.
Damir Redzic, two assists, Yellow card
until the 83rd Minute
Salzburg's best player!
The Hungarian consistently created danger down his right side, especially in the first half. The Slovenian defense had major problems with his quick, high-tempo dribbling. In the 9th minute, he provided a strong assist for the 1-0 goal. He remained dangerous thereafter. At the beginning of the second half, he also set up Lindström's 2-0 goal. After that, he became a bit more inconspicuous, but still had a very strong game.
Sota Kitano, Goal
Until the 65th Minute
Already in the 9th minute, the Japanese player scored the "Bulls'" early lead. He converted a nice pass from Redzic, but Kitano's finish was also very strong. After that, he continued to show effort as a number ten, but he wasn't entirely error-free. Nevertheless, he remained dangerous but missed his second goal. His game ended after 65 minutes.
Yorbe Vertessen
Until the 45th Minute
The Belgian delivered a solid, but not very spectacular performance. He made few mistakes. However, relatively little happened down his left side, meaning the attacking player couldn't pose much of a threat. His game was over after one half.
Haris Tabakovic
90 Minutes
The Bosnian couldn't make his mark on the game at all. He struggled immensely in link-up play and also lacked luck in front of goal. In both the first half and the final phase, he squandered a huge chance; he could have scored at least one goal there. Defensively, however, he consistently won important duels.
Jesper Lindström, Goal
from the 46th Minute
Just 30 seconds after coming on, he scored the 2-0 goal after a strong dribble. After that, however, the Dane didn't show much more. Although more happened down his side than before with Vertessen, decision-making was often an issue.
Bartosz Mazurek
From the 46th Minute
Salzburg didn't necessarily become more secure with the introduction of the Pole. The recently strong Mazurek repeatedly made a few unnecessary errors, especially in his passing. It wasn't the youngster's game.
Gaoussou Diakite
from the 65th Minute
The winger brought fresh impetus to the game. His dribbling caught attention, but the final decisive action was missing.
Frans Krätzig
From the 83rd Minute
The German delivered a very strong pass to Tabakovic, but overall he was on the pitch for too short a time to be rated.
