Winter Move? Here's the latest on Luca Weinhandl's future
The 17-year-old Sturm youngster is attracting interest from numerous European top clubs. However, he has a clear plan for his future.
Luca Weinhandl is one of the hottest transfer prospects in the Austrian Bundesliga.
The 17-year-old is not only the player with the highest market value but has also become an indispensable part of the Sturm Graz squad.
Adding to that are his U17 Vice World Champion title and the record as the youngest Austrian Europa League debutant.
Is a Winter Move an Option?
According to transfer expert Eric Niederseer, all clubs from the English Premier League, Italian Serie A, and German Bundesliga are showing interest in the Sturm youngster.
However, a winter transfer is out of the question for Weinhandl. The 17-year-old wants to take further development steps in his first professional year as a regular starter at Sturm Graz.
The situation could change in the summer, however. According to Niederseer, a move to one of Europe's top 5 leagues is considered very likely.
