Injured in 8-0 win: An update on Jakob Schöller
The center-back got injured in the 8-0 win against GAK. The Hütteldorf side has now announced a diagnosis.
SK Rapid's emphatic 8-0 victory against GAK came with a downside.
Jakob Schöller, who had only just been substituted on, injured himself without external influence in the final phase and had to leave the field prematurely.
As announced by the Hütteldorf side, head coach Johannes Hoff Thorup will have to do without the center-back for the time being. An MRI examination revealed an injury in the area of his left thigh.
There's good news
According to club doctor Lukas Brandner, it is "not too serious". Nevertheless, a "break from intensive team training is required".
"The injury is not comparable to previous ones he has had," is the cautiously positive message from the team doctor. Rapid has left open when Schöller will return.
He will definitely miss the Conference League playoff against Hearts. Otherwise, there are no additional absences. Claudy Mbuyi, Martin Ndzie, Daniel Nunoo, Lorenz Szladits, and Dominic Vincze remain unavailable.
