The top match of Round 12 in the ADMIRAL Bundesliga had plenty to offer!
Goals, lead changes, and a red card for Salzburg coach Danny Röhl in the first half. In the end, his side edged past SK Sturm Graz 4-3 to remain unbeaten in the league.
The emotional reaction
The "Bulls" head coach was sent to the stands with a red card after 33 minutes by referee Walter Altmann. The reason: an emotional reaction following a foul on Damir Redzic and subsequently leaving the technical area.
At the post-match press conference, the German stated: "I apologized. I was sent to the stands because I left the technical area and reacted emotionally. Of course, that shouldn't happen."
After a clearing-the-air talk with the match official, everything is said to be fine again. For Röhl, it was the first red card of his coaching career.
Praise for his team
"A big thank you to the team, who did an outstanding job. Also to my coaching staff, who supported me well. We fought until the end and got the win," said the German.
In the end, he was able to celebrate his team's ninth league win from the stands.
