Benjamin Markus has extended his contract with TSV Hartberg long-term until summer 2030.

The 25-year-old Slovenian plays in defensive midfield and has made 78 competitive appearances for the Styrians so far. Last season, Markus was in the starting eleven for all 32 Bundesliga matches.

In the recent clash against Altach, he also scored his first goal in a Hartberg jersey, netting the much-celebrated winning goal in the final minutes.

Since 2024 at Hartberg

Benjamin Markus says: "I am very happy about my contract extension. As I have mentioned several times, I feel very comfortable in Hartberg and am very happy to be here. I believe that together with the team, we can achieve a lot this season and in the future."

Head coach and Technical Director Markus Schopp adds: "We are incredibly happy that Benji has extended his contract with TSV until 2030. Everyone who has watched him in the past two seasons has seen how important he is for Hartberg's game. We are very happy that he continues to accompany us on our journey and that we can continue to accompany him on this journey. I am very much looking forward to continuing to work with him."
