After Signal Failure: Bundesliga Issues Statement on TV Glitch
The Austrian Bundesliga explains how the signal failure occurred during the match between Sturm and LASK.
The frustration last weekend was great when the TV signal failed in the final minutes of the top match of the 6th round of the ADMIRAL Bundesliga between SK Sturm and LASK.
This caused displeasure not only among the Upper Austrian league leaders and their supporters, who were allegedly denied a penalty, but also among the audience in front of their TV screens.

Technical Defect in Power Supply Caused Image Loss
Now the Austrian Bundesliga has issued a statement on the incident. The cause was "a technical defect in the power supply of the outside broadcast van for the basic signal production, which left the OB van on site without power and caused all production equipment to fail."
However, the fault was not with rights holder Sky, but "exclusively on the part of the basic signal production commissioned by the Bundesliga, carried out by the company Uppercut."
They regret the outage and apologize "to the viewers for the inconvenience caused. Together with the production partner, the incident is currently being technically reviewed to prevent such outages in the future."
