Transfer Coup? Salzburg poised to sign Leipzig pro
The Frenchman was once valued at 15 million euros by Leipzig. Now he could be set to join the club in the City of Mozart.
Red Bull Salzburg could still strengthen their central defense shortly before the end of the transfer window.
The club from the City of Mozart could pull off a real transfer coup. According to the French newspaper "L'Équipe", El Chadaille Bitshiabu is reportedly on the verge of a loan move from RB Leipzig to Salzburg.
The French U20 international was developed at Paris Saint-Germain and moved to Leipzig in the summer of 2023 for 15 million euros.
Bitshiabu was also reportedly discussed by Baidoo's club Lens in Ligue 1 this summer.
Barely featured last season
However, last season Bitshiabu saw significantly less playing time than in the year before. While he made 28 appearances across all competitions for the Saxons in 2024/25, he only featured 14 times in the past season.
To gain more playing time, the 21-year-old could now move to Austria.
