The ÖFB team fears for Michael Gregoritsch.

The Styrian, who led Austria onto the field as captain for the first time during the opening Nations League victory over Israel (Match report>>>), turned his ankle with a wrong step in the first half and had to be substituted shortly after.

He might now miss the upcoming Nations League appearances for the ÖFB team. As Ralf Rangnick reveals in an "ORF" interview, Gregoritsch has probably sustained a ligament injury.

"From the looks of it, he twisted his ankle and probably injured a ligament. We'll know specifics tomorrow," says the ÖFB head coach.
