Seven-Goal Thriller! Amstetten Beats Kapfenberg Late
The bottom-placed team takes the lead twice but still ends up empty-handed.
Spectacular evening in Styria!
SKU Amstetten secured a 4:3 victory in the seventh round of the ADMIRAL 2. Liga in an entertaining match against Kapfenberger SV. The "Falcons" gave up the lead twice and thus remain at the bottom of the table.
Lightning Start for KSV - SKU Fights Back
The match began perfectly for the team at the bottom of the table. Ben Heuser broke through on the left against several defenders, cut inside, and coolly found the near corner (5').
The visitors from Amstetten subsequently worked on the equalizer, which they achieved after almost half an hour. Striker David Peham converted a cross from Vincent Augustus with a header (29').
Shortly before halftime, Amstetten managed to turn the game around. Armin Haider put the club ahead 2:1 (42').
The Action Continues
The second half also proved to be similarly high-scoring. Kapfenberg did not give up and turned the game around again: an own goal by SKU goalkeeper Estevao (55') and a goal by Rajan Zlibanovic (58') brought cheers to Styria.
But this time too, the lead didn't last. Amstetten equalized again through Peham's second goal (76').
In the final phase, SKU struck again, with Philipp Offenthaler even putting them 4:3 ahead (87').
And that's how it stayed. Amstetten provisionally jumped to fourth place with the win, while KSV remains last.
