This Privacy Policy is designed to help you understand our data protection practices, including what personal data we collect, why we collect it, what we do with it, and how we protect it, as well as your individual rights.
Personal data is defined slightly differently in various parts of the world. To ensure your privacy and the protection of your personal data, we define it as any information that could allow us or the Sportradar Group to identify you directly or indirectly.
This Privacy Policy applies when we act as the controller for personal data collected and processed via our website and app. This means that this Privacy Policy applies when we determine the purposes and means of processing your personal data. Personal data collected and processed by us during your registration and access to our website and app will be processed in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation („GDPR“) and any other applicable data protection laws.
Please note that our website and app may contain links to third-party digital assets (websites or applications) for which this Privacy Policy does not apply. We assume no responsibility or liability whatsoever for third-party digital assets and the processing activities related to such digital assets.

2. Who is Sportradar Media Services GmbH/LAOLA1?
We are part of the Sportradar Group, a global leader in understanding and leveraging the power of sports data. LAOLA1 is a sports video platform that offers sports fans and content partners worldwide the best videos from the world of sports. We also provide sports fans with news, statistics, an interactive community, live tickers, and other content related to all relevant sports.
3. What personal data do we collect and how do we process it?
The main reason for collecting personal data is to provide and improve the services, products, and experiences that you and our other users expect from us. Specifically, we collect personal data (i) automatically when you contact us or interact with us via our website and app, and (ii) when you provide personal data to us.
The type of personal data we collect and how we process your personal data depends on your relationship with us and whether you have subscribed to a service. Please specify your user type. Below, we have explained for each user type what data we collect, why, and which legal bases apply. Please note that the information from Section 4 onwards applies to all users, regardless of their membership status.
When you provide us with your personal data, please refrain from providing us with additional personal data, such as your ethnic origin, political opinions, religious and philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, health information, information about your sex life or sexual orientation.
We do not knowingly or intentionally collect and process data from children when they visit our websites or apps. You are a LAOLA1 Community Member if you have paid our monthly membership fee, visit our website, and interact with content.

You can use LAOLA1's features free of charge if you allow us to process your personal data for advertising purposes. This means you will receive personalized advertising from our partners. You can switch to a paid membership at any time. In this case, LAOLA1 will cease processing personal data for advertising purposes, and you will benefit from an ad-free experience when using our website.

Pixels
A tracking „pixel“ is a transparent graphic (usually 1 pixel x 1 pixel) or a JavaScript that is placed on a webpage and enables the collection of data about the use of the webpage containing the tracking pixel. By using tracking pixels, we collect technical data, e.g., the device's operating system, location data, etc., as well as data about your interactions and engagement with our website and app.
Cookies
A „cookie“ is a small text file, usually consisting only of letters and numbers, which is stored in your computer's temporary memory. It either expires at the end of a browser session („Session Cookie“) or is permanently stored on your computer's hard drive („Permanent Cookie“). The use of cookies allows us to „recognize“ you on your next visit and tailor the offers on our website and in our app to your interests. 8. To whom do we disclose your personal data?
We do not disclose your personal data to other persons or third parties, except to trusted partners and under the following circumstances:

Sportradar maintains strict policies for the retention of the personal data we process. In cases where Sportradar is a „data controller,“ we delete all data once the purposes for which it was collected have been fulfilled (including compliance with legal requirements).

3.1. When registering for LAOLA1 Multimedia GmbH services, we may collect any information that can identify the user of the services. In the text below, you can find the personal data we collect automatically, the personal data provided to us, and the personal data collected from other sources.

• For our newsletter service, we collect your email address
• For our WhatsApp service, we collect your mobile phone number
• For our browser push notification service, we collect your IP address

To process your personal data, we may rely on different legal bases, including:

5. Do we collect data from children?
5.1. LAOLA1 Multimedia GmbH does not knowingly collect personal data from children. The definition of „children” is subject to local and domestic law and may vary accordingly.
6. How do we use cookies and other tracking technologies?
6.1. LAOLA1 Multimedia GmbH reserves the right to use so-called cookies. Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that are temporarily archived in the working memory („session cookie”) or permanently stored on the user's computer hard drive („persistent cookie”).
6.2. This information includes, among other things, the user's IP address, login data, browser type and version, the date and time of the user's visit to our websites or use of our apps, and a cookie number.
6.3. The use of cookies enables LAOLA1 Multimedia GmbH to „recognize" the user on their next visit and to tailor the offerings on the websites and in the apps to the user's interests. Cookies are generally deleted as soon as the user logs out of their personal account, or the cookies expire on their expiry date. So-called language cookies, which „recognize" the language of the website or apps previously used by the user during visits to the website or use of the apps, are not deleted when the user logs out. If the user does not log out of their personal account, all cookies will be deleted after three months at the latest.
6.4. Withdrawal of consent for the use of first-party cookies
6.4.1. Users can delete their cookies from their browser at any time using their browser settings. Additionally, LAOLA1 Multimedia GmbH automatically deletes all first-party cookies 6 weeks after setup. This 6-week period is automatically extended each time you visit our website and use the app.

9.1. We may transfer your personal data to trusted third parties in countries outside the European Union. We may disclose your personal data to Sportradar Group companies located outside the European Union.
9.2. When transferring your personal data to a third party outside the European Union or to countries that do not have the same data protection standards, we have implemented appropriate measures to protect your data, such as organizational and legal measures (including EU standard contractual clauses), to ensure the protection of personal data. 10. To whom do we transmit your personal data?
10.1. There are several trusted partners with whom we collaborate and who process the personal data we collect. The partners are grouped into the following categories:

11. How do we secure your data?
11.1. LAOLA1 Multimedia GmbH uses all available technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data against a security breach leading to accidental or unlawful deletion, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure of or unauthorized access to your transmitted, stored or otherwise processed personal data.
11.2. The employees of LAOLA1 Multimedia GmbH are obliged to treat personal data confidentially. The employees of LAOLA1 Multimedia GmbH will only transmit your personal data to third parties as described in Sections 6 and 7 of this Policy.
12. How long is my data stored?
12.1. LAOLA1 Multimedia GmbH does not retain personal data longer than necessary for the purposes outlined in Section 2 of this Policy.
12.2. Regarding personal data not collected by cookies (see Section 3 of this Policy), we delete all personal data after 2 years of non-use. This means that we delete your personal data if you have not logged into or used a service for which you previously registered for two years. We may actively contact you before deleting the data.
12.3. Regarding cookies, we delete all first-party cookies (including your consent to the use of your personal data outside of the functionalities for which you must actively register) after 6 weeks of non-use. This means that if you have not visited our website for a period of more than 6 weeks, we will delete all first-party cookies.

You are entitled to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format and to have your personal data transmitted to another data controller at your request, if technically feasible, provided that the processing of your personal data is based on your consent or is necessary for the performance of a contract between you and LAOLA1 Multimedia GmbH.
13.8. Right to Lodge a Complaint with a Supervisory Authority
13.8.1. If you believe that LAOLA1 Multimedia GmbH has committed a violation of applicable data protection law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority.
13.9. Right to Withdraw Consent
13.9.1. You can withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data insofar as the processing is based on your consent. This does not apply if the processing is necessary for the performance of a contract between LAOLA1 Multimedia GmbH and you or if the processing is based on the legitimate interests of LAOLA1 Multimedia GmbH.
