The slalom specialist has become a father for the second time. On Instagram, the 33-year-old posted a picture with his two children, writing: "Welcome to the world, little man."
Among the well-wishers are numerous skiing greats, including Linus Strasser, Nina Ortlieb, and Anna Veith.
Matt concluded the past season without a World Cup podium finish, placing twelfth in the slalom standings.
