F1 Scandal! Software Problem Causes Chaos in Malaysia
The FIA and Formula 1 are facing an absolute dilemma at the Malaysia comeback.
It really doesn't get any more bizarre than this!
The Malaysian Grand Prix (NOW in the LIVE ticker >>>), which was originally scheduled to start on Sunday at 9 AM but was initially delayed due to rain, has to be called off after the formation lap due to software problems.
After several drivers come to a standstill on the track during the "formation lap," the race start is delayed again.

Why is there a software problem?
Formula 1 initiated a major regulatory revolution before the start of the 2026 season. Power comes half from the internal combustion engine and half from the electric motor.
However, the battery only charges when the drivers brake hard. In rainy conditions, drivers naturally cannot brake as late, but much earlier and more gently.
Of course, the FIA is to blame for this situation!
Start delayed: Cars need software update
To fix this problem, the FIA, according to "ServusTV" information, promptly sent out a software update to all teams – meaning the cars need an update before the start can proceed.
At 10:33 AM, the cars finally head out for another formation lap.
