"La Furia Roja" remains undefeated after 90 or 120 minutes of play whenever the 30-year-old has featured. Fabian has played a total of 49 international matches since his debut on June 7, 2019. His record: 34 wins, 15 draws.

Only his Spanish compatriot Carlos Marchena (57 matches from 2003 to 2010) remained undefeated for even longer.
The Iberians only had to bow to Portugal in the 2025 Nations League final, but only after a penalty shootout. Since the shootout is counted as a draw in official FIFA statistics, Fabian's record remains clean.
The two-time Champions League winner can thus rightly consider himself Spain's lucky charm.
