Modric after Humiliation: "I'm ashamed for the first time"
Croatia suffered a historic defeat against England on Saturday. "Unacceptable", says captain Modric afterwards.

Following a 1-4 loss to Spain on Tuesday, they suffered a 0-7 thrashing against England in the UEFA Nations League on Saturday. This marked the highest defeat in the (still relatively young) history of the "Kockasti".
"It's hard to find an explanation for such a performance, lacking duels, fouls, aggression, cohesion. I've been here for 20 years, but today is the first time I'm ashamed after a match," said captain Luka Modric, stunned after the debacle in Rijeka.
The 41-year-old is further quoted by the "BBC": "You can lose to a better opponent. But to lose like this and destroy the reputation you've built over years is unacceptable."
