SK Sturm provides update: Keeper Khudyakov successfully operated on
After the shock moment in the Graz derby, the Russian was immediately taken to the hospital and operated on. A recovery period cannot yet be estimated.
Sturm keeper Daniil Khudyakov has undergone successful surgery after his severe injury in the Graz derby. His club announced this on Monday.
During the 6-1 victory against GAK (match report>>>), the Russian suffered a serious injury in the 25th minute following a hard tackle from Jacob Italiano and had to be stretchered off.
Khudyakov was subsequently immediately taken to UKH Graz, where the 22-year-old was diagnosed with a broken lower leg. The operation went well, the Graz club announced on Monday.
However, a recovery period cannot yet be estimated at the current time.
