Debut for new signing Thelin? Despotovic says...

It has been ten days since SV Ried strengthened its squad with Isaac Kiese Thelin.

For the upcoming ADMIRAL Bundesliga match against WAC (from 2:30 PM in the LIVE ticker>>>), the Swede, who once played for Sweden alongside Zlatan Ibrahimovic, is in the squad for the first time.

"He's someone who gives it his all and he's also cool-headed in front of goal and in the box," Ried coach Mario Despotovic described him to "Sky" before the match.

First competitive match since June 6?

How likely is an appearance against Wolfsberg? Despotovic remains cautious. He says they have to wait and see how the game develops. "And then we'll see how we integrate him into our match plan," he said, keeping his cards close to his chest.

Thelin played his last competitive match on June 6 for his previous club Urawa Red Diamonds.
